About 

I attribute my passion for education to my family. My parents did not pursue their college degrees until after establishing their professional careers, but they always expressed the importance of learning and doing well in school.

 

I started working in Learning and Development as an English teacher in 2007.

 

Over the years, I've worked in various roles and in various sectors. Each position has provided an opportunity for me to learn and grow as an instructional designer.

I have a Master of Science (Educational Technologies) from Texas A&M at Commerce, a Master of Humanities (English) from Tiffin University, and a Bachelor of Arts (English) from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

  • 15+ years’ experience in curriculum and materials development, instruction and training delivery, needs assessment, and lesson planning

  • 8+ years' experience in instructional design and story-boarding

  • 6+ years’ experience in designing blended- and web-based learning units and multimedia projects using learning management systems (LMS), e-learning management, and virtual training delivery

  • Expertise in implementing instructional design theories and models (e.g. ADDIE, AGILE), and adult learning theory 

  • Proven ability to design, develop, implement, and evaluate learning programs utilizing best practices

  • Innovative instructional strategies
